Our long tour will cover the most spectacular places from the Orientali and Meridionali Carpatian mountains:
  • Highest mountain roads in Romania (Transfagarasan, Transalpina and the Strategica offroad track)
  • Spectacular scenary and remote areas in the Harghita and Covasna region
  • Medieval castles and fortresess
  • The long tour is ideal for you if you want cover almoust the whole Carpathian mountains within a unique adventurous experience.
  • The first 3 days of the tour slightly follows the Trans Euro Trail track, avioding the entrances to protected areas and natural reserves
  • Part of this track is slightly challenging for beginner offroad riders but a detour is possible if the group requests it
  • The following 3 days will focus more on high mountain passes, mostly on paved road but also some easy unpaved road

    Tour PLAN

     Day 1 - Sunday

  • Meetup in Cluj Napoca on Sunday morning
  • If you bring your motorbike on a trailer until here, let us know in advance so that we can arrange a suitable parking of your car and trailer during the tour.
  • Fuel top up and short briefing of the upcoming ride
  • Ride from Cluj to the foothills of the Orientali Mountains with stopping at a few landmarks along the route
  • Dinner
  •  Day 2 - Monday

  • Breakfast
  • Short briefing of the upcoming ride
  • Ride through one of the most spectacular gorge in Romania
  • Ride along beautiful mountain ridge in Harghita County
  • Approximate ride length 210 km with about 65% off-road
  • Optional alpine coaster ride
  • Dinner
  •  Day 3 - Tuesday

  • Breakfast
  • Short briefing of the upcoming ride
  • Ride through vast forest in the most remote areas of Covasna County
  • Approximate ride length 180 km with about 60% off-road
  • Dinner
  •  Day 4 - Wednesday

  • Breakfast
  • Short briefing of the upcoming ride
  • Ride through mountain tops, the beautiful Tabla Butii area and Baiului mountains
  • Approximate ride length 200 km with about 60% off-road
  • Dinner
  • Day 5 - Thursday

  • Breakfast
  • Short briefing of the upcoming ride
  • Optionally visit the medieval castle of Fagaras
  • Ride thourh the famous Transfagarasan road
  • Optionally hike to the Poenari Castle (~30 minutes of hike)
  • For today the track mostly goes on paved roads.
  • Dinner
  •  Day 6 - Friday

  • Breakfast
  • Short briefing of the upcoming ride
  • Ride through the famous Strategica off-road track
  • Ride through the Transalpina road (highest paved road in Romania)
  • Dinner
  •  Day 7 - Saturday

  • Breakfast
  • Short briefing of the upcoming ride
  • Ride back to Cluj Napoca
  • Arrival in Cluj Napoca where we say goodbye

     Price and payment

  • The price per one rider is 700 Euro and contains everything mentioned in What’s Included (accommodation, breakfast, dinner).
  • Payment in advance of 30% of the tour cost is required to reserve your spot.
  • The remaining 70% should be paid up to 2 weeks before the tour.
  • Free cancellation up to 2 weeks before the tour. 
  • For cancellations made after this period, the advance payment (30% of the total cost) will be retained.

  •   Group Limit

  • 3 riders minimum
  • Preferably 6 riders maximum
  • If the minimum number of participants is not reached up to 2 weeks before the tour, we will fully refund you.
